Dear Parishioners of Kilcock and Newtown – peace be
with you all.
Let me introduce myself – my name is Adriano Jose de
Oliveira. I am a diocesan priest of the Diocese of
Divinopolis, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. I am almost 46
years old, the second youngest son of a family of eight
siblings. My father passed away a long time ago and my
mother is 78 years old. I joined our diocesan seminary
in 1995. After the philosophical and theological training,
I was ordained a priest in 2003. Since then, I have
worked in different areas and places in my diocese.
My last appointment was as a parish priest in a small
community. I always wanted the experience of
ministering abroad. I am very grateful to Bishop Denis
Nulty for this opportunity and to Fr. George Augustine
for his welcome and all the effort that he has done to
make me feel comfortable and at home. I would like to
thank all of you for your prayers and welcome.
